I had a breast reduction in August 05, now almost 3 years later I have experienced substantial growth in my right breast. The left breast is perfect, couldn’t be happier. However, the right one is continuing to grow. I have had several follow up appontments with my plastic surgeon and he is shocked by the growth. I have recently gone in for a mamogram and ultrasound to make sure cancer is not at play, and all tests came back negative. Supposedly, I have a certain kind of tissue that expands and am only experiencing the expansion in one breast, not both. Does this sound right? My doctor is trying to appeal my insurance company, as they consider a second surgery "cosmetic" and therefore will not cover the cost. We have had no luck so far. Any advice would be helpful! Thanks!
