thinking about a nose job but, i don’t really believe in it.?
I have kind of always been against cosmetic surgery unless it was breast reduction, but lately i am growing to hate my nose more and more and have thought i would like to change it but at the same time, it goes against what i believe but, im starting to fall out of those beliefs. i don’t really know what to do. anyone else have this problem? what did you do? how much does it cost? are you happier now with your nose job?
i guess its just annoying cause ever since i can remeber people point out "there is some dirt under your nose" but i have a dent in it and the shadow makes it look like there is dirt on it. i get that comment all the time, its starting to drive me mad. it didnt bother me for a long time but then it started to make me stare at my nose alot and hate it more and more. its crooked too. i most likely wont get a nose job just cause its so much for such a small change but i just wanted to know peoples thoughts on the topic.
I think some people should be more preocupied with fixing there car or buying there boyfriend valentines day gifts and stuff. Im guessing your the type of girl that just nit picks stuff but is really beutiful and is just looking for atention. Your just wasting every really ugly girls time in here with your dumb "pretty girl" problems.
then don’t get one!

i HATEd my nose
i would feel so uncomfortable just being around people because it’s not like i could hide my nose and forget about it
but it’s passed and i’m just kind of accepting it and myself as a whole really or at least i’m working on it
but i think once you start getting plastic surgery, you’ll only start noticing the other "flaws" and idk it’s just not my thing personally although before plastic surgery was all i could think about

im glad that i didn’t thoug b.c i really wouldnt have myself any other way
Sounds like you needs to talk to a counselor to help you sort it out.
I’m biased in that I am against plastic surgery unless it is for a medical condition or reconstructive purposes. It’s major surgery. I can’t fathom why anyone would elect to take those risks. And regardless of what people say, if it wasnt for what others think (or people think they think) people wouldnt elect for it. No one does it for themselves.

I feel the same way, my beliefs are God made you this way and changing anything is kind of a disrespect towards him. Changing yourself to look better than others, or because u want to be perfect isn’t right to me. But if whatever on your body/face is making you depressed or hard to live with it than yes i think you should because why not make your life better
i never had plastic surgury done, i’m thinking about getting a nose job but i dont think i will because it doenst look that bad right now and the plastic surgenest dont always do a good job…

ok, why do you hate your nose? Did someone make a mean spirited comment to make you hate it or have you always hated it?
I guess I just believe that there is never any real reason to change an outward appearance based on ‘i hate it, it doesn’t look good’, kinda seems like a vanity thing and the idea that you need to be more beautiful when really you already are.
But hey, to each his own.

you should not have to change yourself, seriously, a nose job is such a small change, is it really worth all of the pain and money?

my saying is …if it aint broke dont fix it….i think cosmetic surgery is for people who need it…because its broken…not just because you might not like something.

I wouldn’t have it done, but then again I have a little cute pinched nose. However, I’d have my thighs done in a heartbeat. I don’t know! What about it bothers you?

We all have certain features about ourselves that we don’t like. But if we change them, there’s always a chance tht we can become someone we don’t like. Like some other plastic surgery patients, once you get this done you will only start to notice other "flaws." My advice would be to appreciate your nose–for helping you breathe and for helping you stay alive. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder–not others but you. You are beautiful just the way you are.

There are really two separate issues here. One is that of self esteem the other is making a cosmetic decision. If you are basically self confident and know that people love you for "who" you are, not what you look like, then making a choice to improve the way you look is not much different than deciding to color your hair or buy a new dress (something that will appeal to you aesthetically). If on the other hand you are not self confident, and struggle with your self esteem I would recommend dealing with those issues first before you make a decision about what to do. What is it exactly that you are "against"? Perhaps it is someone else’s idea of what you "should" or "shouldn’t" do? I say decide for "yourself" what is good for "you". You are entitled to your own choices without judgment. Personally I love noses that have character but it is always a "personal" preference. I once made the decision to have some elective surgery and I’ve never been sorry. I also knew that I was O.K. either with or without having made that decision.
