NHS told me lose weight now my breasts hang to my waist. Why won’t NHS help with the effects of weight loss
October 9th, 2009 | by admin |I lost a lot of weight (stones), as was advised to by NHS Doctor. However, now I am more unhappy, than when I was very obese. My breasts never came down in size from (42D) with the weight loss, and now hang with extra skin, down to my waist. I have to lift them up to get into a bra and bathe underneath them. They are very heavy and can be painful, and hang out of most bras. I sought NHS help but have been turned down twice. I feel very angry as it was through the NHS advice that I lost all the weight. Why won’t the NHS help with the aftermath of gross weight loss? Excercise has not helped my breasts. I often feel like cutting off my own breasts. I’m 37 and desperate. I would even be a guinea pig for a trainee plastic surgeon to practice on. I’m not vein and not wanting surgery for cosmetic reasons, but because my breasts are ruining my life. I cannot afford private treatment, so that is not an option.
Thanks for all your help. I DID however, work out like mad, but I was told that no amount of excercise will tighten my breasts, as although no smaller, they are mostly just loose skin now.
To (Mak….I believe it was?) For your information, my weight was NOT caused by over-eating, but in fact due to an underlying surgical condition, of which I’m now awaiting major surgery (June). I suggest you think, before answering questions.

I suggest you work out. It will tighten to muscles in the pectoral area and pull your breats up and it will also tighten the skin. And you’ll be able to keep your new figure. That’s what I do when I feel like my boobs are beginning to hang too low…40DD. it really does work man. You just have to have the discipline and the willingness to do it.

Hi there, best thing you can do is to take some exercise – it doesn’t sound like you have any other options. Talk to friends about gyms they go to, and see if you can get a few sessions with a personal trainer who can help you reach your goals. I used to go to LivingWell, give it a go!

They should help you because they know the outcome of this weigt loss. You can sue them for your reason that it is ruining your life. Do not be ashamed to come out of this in public, what matters is your health and safety. This breast issue can give you health problems like backache.do not mind the numbskulls in here telling you things that ain’t funny. Please be safe!
