"Scooby booby doo" Would you consider a boob job for your pet dog?

December 11th, 2009 | by admin |

"Two rescue dogs have been given cosmetic surgery to make them look more appealing to potential owners.

Morgan and Emma, both chocolate labradors, had breast lifts costing £1,200 in a bid to find them a new home.

After years of overbreeding, the pets were left with sagging folds of skin which left their teats nearly touching the ground.Staff at the Wallace Kennels in Stondon Massey, near Brentwood, Essex, said it was putting off potential owners so they decided to make them look better."

That’s so wrong, I would never let my dogs have surgery unless it was for a health reason and they had to have it. Why risk a dogs life ( especially an older dog) for the sake of cosmetic surgery, as long as they’re healthy and safe who cares what they look like.

Hopefully they do get adopted though :(

EDIT- Kerry makes a good point, if they didn’t think it was worthwhile they wouldn’t of put the dogs through the surgery. It’s just so sad that the dog’s had to get the surgery for higher chance of adoption just because people didn’t want them because of what they looked like.

    We had my dog neutered.
Now he has a long saggy empty sack.
If I felt he cared, I would get him prosthetic testicles.
But he loves licking the empty sack just as much as he did the plump full one.

    That sounds immoral to me.
I mean we shouldn’t be able
to do anything we want with
    animals, without their consent.

aww, they must have thought a lot about it before it was done. If the dogs have a happy life now then it’s worth it. I’m surprised people are saying how bad it is, but no-one is calling the rotten s0ds who over bred the poor animals.

Well I think ‘teats scraping the ground’ is a legitimate excuse for intervention meself. The cheaper option would have been t!t tape but I reckon the fur would make that prohibitive.
