is it gruesome or aesthically ethical for women to get vaginoplasties?

it seems that things are getting extremely out of hand when normal women are running to cosmetic surgeons to be cut on in that area. is it just me or is that an alarm bell for society? (i’m definitely not opposed to cosmetic surgery or to looking beautiful, especially for your man, but this seems a little scary to me)….ps. i’m not talking about a woman who has a horrible disfigurement, but just normal, average women in general.

Every woman, is actually ‘just normal, average women in general’ if you think about it.

The cult of youthful beauty being carried into old age has seen an explosion in ‘products’ that can be offered to women, and men, to make them ‘better’ and more ‘acceptable’.

What is wrong with them to begin with? Nothing actually. But being OK with yourself and accepting others as they are is not going to put money into a surgeon and anaethetist’s pockets, earn bucks for the hosiptal where you stay, and fill the coffers of cosemtic companies looking to cash in on how ‘ugly’ we all are.

Looking good is not about being a barbie, although the manufacturers and pushers of these cosmetic surgery products would have you believe it is …

Cosmetic surgery is usually about misogyny and self hatred. Time to grow up and realise we are who we are, and that’s OK.

Cheers :-)

  4. I find it to be along the same as penial implants…..gruesome and pleasure killing.

  6. Some people get horribly disfigured in accidents and such, and these surgeries can be a good thing. If a man wants to undergo surgery to improve the look of his penis or if he lost his penis in an accident or illness, then it should be just as ok for a woman to have vaginoplasty.

  7. People are entitled to do what they want with their own bodies. A vaginoplasty is no more inherently gross than ear-piercing, and it is considerably less invasive than breast surgery.
But anyone who thinks a vagina is ugly is damaged.

  9. I’m sorry, but I think you’re mistaken. Some women are born with MRKH syndrome and don’t have a vagina. It’s true! Google it if you don’t believe me. Usually, if the girl wants it, a vaginoplasty is done around 13-15 years of age.

The cosmetic surgery you probably mean is a labiaplasty. It’s a surgery that deals with the parts you can see (as opposed to a vaginaoplasty that nobody but your doctor will see). Some women think they have to look like the women in porn magazines to be "normal". However, there is nothing normal about the girls in such magazines. And because of the natural variation in the population EVERYBODY is "normal".

  11. I didn’t know normal women were doing that?
women’s and mens genital is just kinda funny looking..just the way it’s made.

If so many normal women are getting this done, why do you see so many "meat" hangers in porn still? you would think that the first people to be getting this would be the porn stars.

  12. I personally think it’s gruesome, and recent stats on their success haven’t proven otherwise. Can’t they just do some Kegels?

  13. I think it’s horrifying, that our society’s beauty standards have finally reached our genitals.
Also ironic, since this happens in other countries, only we call that female genital mutilation.
