The Affects of Temperature on Your Sleep
January 30th, 2010 | by admin |Temperature has one of the biggest affects on your sleep. Most people think that they warmer they are the better they’ll sleep, but in reality being cooler what you really want.
But when it comes to temperature in the bedroom you have a few things to worry about. One, the temperature in the bedroom and two the temperature in your bed itself.
Let’s take a close look at the temperature inside your bedroom. When the temperature inside your bedroom is too high, your own body will constantly struggle to bring it’s internal temperature down. This will result in a sleep that is filled with tossing and turning.
You can work on reducing the temperature in you bedroom by doing things like adjusting the thermostat to lower temperatures during the nighttime. The type of bedding you use also makes a really big difference so you will want to look at that.
Sheet’s like heavy cotton and cheaper satin sheets will not only make it difficult for you to adjust your bodies temperature, but they will harbor dust mites, molds, and fungus. Sounds pretty terrible, so what should you be using?
There are two main types of bedding sheets and comforters that will really do your body temperature the best. One is silk and the other is bamboo sheets.
Bamboo sheets breath incredibly well and have a soft feel that you would not expect by hearing about bamboo sheets. So even if your room is a little too warm, bamboo will help to regular the airflow and keep you cooler than normal… and yet it’s still a great insulator to keep you warm.
Try bamboo sheets and you will find yourself getting a much better sleep full of sweet dreams and waking up refreshed.
